Tyres are well past their best on the Audi, I had a pair of slightly smaller tyres knocking about that ive put on the front so although they're all just about legal it all looks a bit rubbish, plus they're steels with scrubby wheeltrims.
Ive noticed on ebay alloys complete with tyres are available pretty cheaply (if you don't mind the style of the wheels) For the cost of a set of new budget tyres I can get a set of nearly new tyres complete with alloys.
Ive clocked a set of Citroen Xsara aftermarket alloys and tyres for the right price and the PCD is the same as my Audi (4x108) So the bolt holes all line up ok but is there any way of finding out if the centre bore of the wheel will fit? I know some wheels are mounted by the centre of the wheel, others by the wheel nuts themselves. I think the centre mounted ones are called spigot mounted? Ive been caught out by this before when the wheel wont fit over the centre of the hub!
Bottom line is, will Citroen Xsara alloys fit my Audi 100??

So long as it's bigger you've got no worries, just make sure your nuts/bolts seat OK! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Yep. don't worry about the centre if your nuts are up to scratch, but watch the offset - Pug/citroen like to have quite low offset wheels, Xsaras are about et25, so not that bad, you'll probably get away with it. Also, 99% of pug/cit alloys use flat seat nuts, which don't self centre very well, and only come in m12x1.25 pitch, which is different to Audi fitment if I remember correctly.

Looks like Porsche 924 wheels are a straight fit, same stud pattern and centre bore. I recon set of polished early non turbo rims would look great! Audis offset is 35 to 42 and the porka's is 15. Is that a problem? ![](http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f121/lankytim/porkaalloy.jpg)

Is that a problem? The wheels will sit out ~20mm further. Make sure you have room in the arches if you're running low (or intend to). Also, the tyre may stick outside the arch which at best looks rubbish, and at worst (depending on who you ask) may be illegal.

Is the problem caused by swapping from a FWD offset to a RWD offset? *edit* thinking about it, 20mm probably wont be a problem as the steels that are on are really hidden under the arches so theres loads of room. Rear arches don't have a lip on either!

Just curious - Did you have on those the 10-spokes you had off me? Any piccies? Would it not be less trouble just to get some new but budget tyres? Not as though the performance is going to overwhelm them ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Yes ive got them in the shed. they're minus tyres and I'm waiting for the right time to refurb them, refurb is going to be £100 minimum plus the cost of the tyres so its going to be £200 min all in. I havent completely discounted them because they're very nice wheels, id love something a bit different though!
ATM I'm running on the boggo stock 14 inch steelies.
