Pretty simple really...
Wanted, something not too difficult for me to play with over the next 6 months.
I'm in Sandhurst, Berks, so something <50 miles ideally.
<£500 please.
I have no pre-determined desires, engine size, or any worries or the like, insurance is cheap as I'm not young anymore, etc etc.
Prefer something that isnt mentally rotten, but what you got?
ta ;D

Clean as a clean thing 1990 Volvo 240GLT estate...Blue Loads..and I mean LOADs of service history and new parts.... I've had it for a year and I've put a new exhaust, pads, radiator, Bilstein HD shocks, lowered uprated springs on the rear (have the new lowered fronts but haven't fitted them yet), all the suspension bushes! including the b*stard rear rear arm ones. has just over 11 months MOT. I bought it and it was gonna be my project, stripped all the rear panels, carpet and seats (threw them away!) and was gonna put some front buckets, cage it and do all the panels black etc etc.... then bought a new project and have just used the Volvo as an everyday driver ever since. Has never let me down in any way! 140,000 miles...NO oil or water leaks...has used 1 litre of oil since I've had it (13 months!) Good bits/new bits are too much to list this time of night! but can do a full rundown if your interested in the daytime. Bad bits/bits need doing...... interior needs tidying ...front springs need fitting....one front wheel stud can be a pain to get the wheelnut on , (feels like it will strip the stud if not carefull )...no rear window brake light so the bulb warning light comes on when you brake.... clutch release bearing will need oiling soon as it has started chirping if the clutch is dumped really quick (supposed to be able to get access to it through the clutch arm hole)....fuel pump relay could do with changing as it clicks away when it feels like it(makes no difference to the running though). If I keep it, none of these things will get done this year and It'll just carry on as is ;D Body wise you wont find better unless its a showpiece Miniture "project" that you could still use everyday aswell. Only need to get rid as mint XR2 on its way I'm in Essex but could meet somewhere closer if you fancy a look anytime. was gonna post it up for £500 anyway

I've got a Polo Saloon. 1989, red, 1L. Its got MOT till Feb 2009, tax till the end of July, but can tax for another 6 months if you wish. The alternator is knackered, but I'm trying to source another. There is an oil leak from the sump, which has never bothered me, but I suspect its what did the alternator in, since it was full of oil! Its got a dent in each wing, but as they are bolt on items, should be easy enough to find and replace them. The interior is pretty good for its age. The passenger side window is operated using a state of the art, wooden wedge system. The cable has broken so I have removed the mechanism and the doorcard for easy access to the bit of wood The only bit of rust on the whole car is a tiny amount near the windscreen. It has cut springs and sits just right. Its got a GTi styley grille with the red strip arounf it too, although there is a broken section along the bottom, see picture \/ This is the most recent picture of it, I have the bumper and it will come with the car. Only want £200 for it £250 with tax. Edd Oh and its in beds.

240GLT is currently very tempting.... very very tempting!
Last one I bought from here didnt make it more than 25 miles before the autobox grenaded itself and I got so p*ssed off with it I weighed it in. ;D

Yeah its winning the contest easily! I'd quite fancy something really dinky if anyone had something like a 126, I want to put a little turbo engine in something.
