Hi Guys
Here goes my first post
First of my name is Dennis and I am from Denmark
Have been reading along on here for a while, after I found a link I Retro Cars (glad it is back, best mag ever), and I have to say some of the builds on here blow me away. I whish I possesed the skill of some of you guys. But anyways I figured that I might aswell post some pics up of my car, allthought it isn't particularly retro, it is inspired by a retro one And it is powered by Fords famous boat anchor.
BTW should just mention that the Mohr Rush is the German predesessor to the Dax Rush (Dax bought the right for the car from Mohr.)
Here goes:
When I first bought the car last year:
Drove it as it was for the summer, and went to a big danish meeting with my mate in his Corvette GS:
Along with my other car which is getting an update after the summer holidays:
A picture from the "end" of last summer:
Then winter came, and since I hated the red bits in the front suspension (i hate the red interior aswell and will hopefully get that sorted next winter), I decided to get the front wishbones chromed, and to get the brakes and hubs overhauled and painted black. Here goes:
First start up this year:
Lining up the front suspension:
The finished article:
As it looks now:
At a meeting in Norway:
The car is currently for sale, as I fancy to build something myself or maybe to get a more dedicated hill climb/sprinting car.
But if it doesn't sell I still got some plans for it. I got these goodies for the engine compartment waiting, along with an alloy camcover and a Burton adjustable cam pulley:
My new shiney stainless exhaust should also arrive from the UK this week.
Ive also got a set of doors like these on order from the UK, but as they are completely handbuild, and the guy who made a set for himself agreed to make a set for me and 2 other guys, i've been waiting for them for quite a while (over a year infact).
And i've been toying with the idea of making a hardtop for it once I recieve the doors. Made this quick Photoshop of how it should look.
Hope you like it, and that you will bear with my Danish-English.
Will try and update this thread when something happens.
Cheers
Dennis
