I found this liitle gem for sale. Though y'all might enjoy it. Sorry if its been posted before. Thought it was OOOOF enough for a thread here... text following is from the advert description...
----------------------------------------------
This is an original factory-built racecar. The paint, gauges, cage, interior, suspension, transmission, brakes and rear differential are all original, authentic Bob Sharp Racing as built in 1972. Only the motor is not original, but it is a correct L20B as campaigned.
Perhaps the most amazing part of this car is the original pearl white, candy apple red and blue paint job. Because this car was never used in competition and spent much of its time in dealer showrooms, the original paint still looks fantastic! This is probably the only Bob Sharp race car still in its original paint. Up close it has the patina of a 36 year old lacquer paint job, but thanks to an extensive preservation procedure it looks brand new from a few feet away and it is protected from UV rays so you can drive it without worrying about the sun!
Campaigning this car is as much fun as looking at it. Every event I've taken it to I've had people tell me stories of when they used to watch it race. Some people have even come back the next day with old photo's, one person gave me a copy of the 1975 runoffs video, featuring the 610 on pole with Bob Sharp driving.
But the best part of owning this car ( besides having Elliot Forbes Robinson drive it at Road Atlanta) is driving it. This car does the most manageable, easy to control, 4 wheel drift of any car I've ever driven, and the sound of the Malcolm Garret built L20B at 8000 RPM can not be beat! The 911S calipers up front provide the needed stopping power for aggressive out- braking. In the 6 races I've entered I've finished 2nd in class 4 times and won twice!
A production date of 1972 makes this car legal for every "Pre-72 production car" class offered by most vintage racing organizations. Group 8 SVRA , Group 3 HSR, VRG, etc. Car is Fresh, Sorted, and ready to race!
Recently featured in "Vintage Motorsports" Magazine (May/June 08 issue). Read the specifications and article and I think you'll agree this is a very special race car!
Included with the car are SVRA Log Book, 1974 Bob Sharp Racing press kit, factory poster, postcards (of 610), behind the scenes photographs taken by Dave Auerbach (team engine builder),and video of 75 Runoffs with the 610 on pole plus several other SCCA articles relating to car.
