It’s help I’m after people, do we have our technical heads on?
I’m a great one for dismantling oily bits, and then letting the rebuild fester for months on end, but with two engine rebuilds on the go at the moment [one of which is for my fiesta track car ;D ] the last thing I want to do at the end of the day, is get into my bogo mk 1 and marvel at the lack of oomph she treats me to. Currently polybushed and running Gaz suspension she sounds good enough through a custom build Ashley system, but with Bestek electronic ignition ordered I fancy a bit more bang for my buck.
I’m after a rare beast indeed dido, a set of twin 36 webers [dcnfs iirc] on a manifold set up for an 1100 valencia. I’ve tried a few word of mouth leads, but have received little to nothing in response, so can anyone suggest a suitable source or potential alternative?
I’m thinking that a rather more easily accessible alternative may well be to run something like a Bogg Bros custom made manifold with 4 bike carbs instead. Does anyone know of this being done in this engine before [ie some snazzy snaps to look at] or have an idea of a suitable set of bike carbs that I could have a fiddle around with.
Of course this thread will be populated with pics and advice from thise in the know, but for the time being let me reward you patience to my advice request with a few pictures of some rather tasty Fiestas.
