As the supply on knee-bay seems to have dried up for now, I wonder if the collective knowledge can point me to any nice Vivas. I want a retro for me first car, so when all me mates are driving around in FWD euro-boxes they owe the bank thousands for, I can drift past with a smug look on me face.
HA/HB/HC not important, they're all lovely (but tax-exemptness could make or break the deal).
I don't really know what to budget for one of these, I've seen them go for a few hundred quids to well over a grand, but a cheap as possible would be nice. I'm not against a little bit of restoration, but no welding.
I'm willing and able to travel about anywhere if it drives and has an MOT, but not too far if it needs transporting

the viva club seems to be full of old men who still think you can get a good car for 10 bob Yes it is , yes I am and yes we do.. ;D Anyhoos I revel in being an old fart cos my insurance renewal came through the post today for the Firenza , oh that'll be £180 fully comp then...  I know of an HC 2 door that was for sale in Newcastle about a month ago , I'll give him a nudge and see if it's still for sale..  All the best Bob. |

oh that'll be £180 fully comp then... *jealousy* I'm dreading having to pay for insurance, thanks to loads of chavs with no skill crashing their mam's corsa  . It's all made harder by the fact I haven't got a chance getting employed anywhere because I don't have me GCSE results yet and they don't want to waste money training me when I'm gonna quit in September  |

I guess the "want to own a viva" article in Practical classics is attracting peebs ;D mind you I am a bit peeved about the article as is featured my HA in the "look for the rot" section, cheekys sods last time I lend it for a photo shoot
