I'm going to do some re-spraying on the Rocco shortly, but am having difficulties finding the correct paint code for the car............any ideas where it would be?
And when I do find it where can I get the paint from - am considering getting the stuff in cans as I only need to spray the new wing, bottom of the drivers door and the bottom of the passenger wing - although I do have a compressor / gun and done a fair bit spraying in my time so if I could get hold of a tin of the correct colour it wouldn't be a problem.

try looking for a sticker somewhere in the boot matey, they tend to put then in there on the rear most panel for some reason.
Otherwise, I never really looked on my rocco, sorry

Never thought of looking there!
I looked at the VIN plate and the plate under the drivers seat, but alas no paint code!

My jetta has a sticker in the boot, and also has it engraved just above the firewall on the bulkhead. Don't know if rocco's are the same though.

My polo has the paint code on a sticker in the boot, so looks like thats the prime hunting ground. Try Milton Keynes VW headquarters, they might be able to help out with some info if you give them the VIN number. Failing that you could try writing for the old VW birth certificate from VW Autostadt, I'm sure they would do an old 'rocco if you send them the VIN details, just cost you 15 euros.

Been informed all I need to do is take the Rocco to my local VW dealers and they'll be able to look it up on das-computer.

my rocco has it on a yellow sticker on the top of the boot lip... should be there unless it's been rear-ended at some point.
My guess would also be Alpine White but my experience of halfords rattle cans on my identically coloured audi was they're less than a perfect match, even on unfaded paint.

Look in the yellow pages and see if you have a Brown Brothers Motor Factors. They will mix paint for you and have colour charts and mixes to take account of UV aging as well. There will be about 4 or 5 Versions of your particular White ;D Take the car (With a freshly polished bit) and they will let you check the Paint Chips against it HTH Dom
