don't really ride anywhere regularly anymore on account of having no mates (boo hoo and stuff) usually get up to hamsterley or glentress. been meaning to check out chopwell since i haven't been there for years. is it any good? there's a massive unused pit between sunderland and newcastle that i've been wanting to visit with a shovel and build some big booters but haven't got round to it since riding on your own is curse word. i'll try and get out next weekend now the volvo is working, might visit chopwell for a change.

Could you drop me tips on where to buy a decent hardtail in the N.E. - I remember >Darkes Cycles in Sunderland, but not back enough to ave the 'knowledge'
Cheers

I remember Darkes Cycles in Sunderland, darkes is the only place to go really. their stock is curse word but bare in mind they mostly sell bikes to 'normal people'. they can get anything you want pretty quickly just ask them, i go there for pretty much everthing. come to think of it they've got a lovely charge stove bike in stock. if not darkeys you have to deal with the undersexed, acne riddled muppets in halfords or the pushy sales patter in cycle world. as for the riding, i fancy chopwell on saturday cos i aint been there since i was a grom. should make a change from hamsterley. the catch is i was meant to be spending the day with the girlfriend and the only way i could wangle it was by inviting her along! so she'll be on the yeti.
