Well since you asked so nicely! All painted up and fitted with new toyo proxie boots. I think they look good, and the handling is certainly better ;D I think lowering it will improve the looks so I'll slot on the springs I've just got sometime soon Now I just need to sort out the front paint, the rear arches and a few spots on the roof.

Certainly is high aint it! Yep painted them myself, they were badly scratched so needed a god rub down, then an etch prime and them some colour and clear - heres a piccy or part way through with the etch primer going on All done with rattle cans, using Ford Tibetan gold from Halfords for the colour, surprising how good a finish you can get actually

^^^ erm?? its struts all round! Yep first gen CRXs (up to 87 I think) had torsion bars on the front, your second gen will handle much better than those! Fun little cars, I'd love to own one (driven my mates one a few times and it's so much fun). Good to see it un-barried too

So its been ages since I updated but well I've been a bit busy being in the wrong country! So in the Xmas holidays I cut out the rear arches as they were going and in doing so found out why the boot was getting wet! So after some cleaning and hitting things with a screwdriver I had two 1 inch holes in the rear panel behind the bumper, two 6 inch holes in the back of the rear wheel arches, a two inch hole in the top of the LHS wheel inner arch and holes at the wheel arch to sill connection, and to finish off paper thin metal around ever whole for holding the sill trims on which left four 2-4 inch holes both sides! and I thought only old Fords could rust that bad! Obviously cos I'm useless I didn't take any photos, but well I was a bit busy as I only had 2 days to fix all that and fit in the new arches, and I'd never joggled in a repair panel before! But in the end it all turned out ok, but the car was now about 7 different colours! So as I had to go to Germany I handed it over to the painter in the barn next door, and this weekend I picked it up looking like this ;D So its finally looking good! Just got to sort the roof now as there's a little rust around the sunroof, and that'll be gloss black for something a little different It is nice to pick a car up all finished, but well I'm still a Yorkshireman so no way I'm paying for the next respray I need sort of enjoy knowing I've done it myself as well. So now what do I do with it, erm drive it? Just did 800miles in one day with no problem and at 42mpg and 80mph across Europe, god I love this thing ;D

looking good, but those rear arches are a right pain arent they? and the trim traps water too. I just spent a grand getting mine sorted due to lack of welding ability.
