Well here we go then finally I've bought another car! Needed a nice usable daily, thats good on fuel, and these things are pretty reliable and practical plus good to drive so ticked all the boxes ;D Unfortunatly they rust real bad on the rear arches and this one is no different. So plan is new arches and some better paint, as front wings have been replaced and painted badly. Also need to sort the sunroof outas it doesn't move simetrically which lead to much fun in Oxford services getting it to close! Has a bad boy exhaust with huge tailpipe, bit OTT for me so will find a more subtle tail for it, and it has an induction kit which doesn't look over clever so that'll go back to std probably. It's also chipped and rolling roaded at a believible 138bhp, so its not slow To finish off a set of rims and a little lowering I think, and possibly some cheques on the roof Not got any of my own pics yet so heres the add ones. So thoughts? And anyone got some nice 4x100 wheels?

So been getting on with the work. Full fluid change and filters, got rid of the induction system and runs much better on light load now. Fitted a quick shift which was the best £25 I've spent in ages. New rear lights to replace cracked one. Sorted the sunroof, replaced the ariel and changed the exhaust tip which I think looks loads better now so now just arches (got some repair panels ) paint, stereo, brake service, some wheels and a bit of lowering - so what do people think to these?

And as I'm bored I thought I'd stick this on too, nice power curve, and an amazingly flat torque curve although its not that torquey at about 110ftlbs, still goes well though ;D

Well the moding bug has well and truely bitten! What do we think? A repaint in a broze/gold shade and some nice toyo proxies should see them looking ok, but I can't quite picture it yet so guess I'll just have to stick them on - and if I don't like them they only cost £45 with a couple of good tyres so I can't lose! See why do it the expensive way when you can do it the RR way ;D And just because you can't put on new rims without digging the stick out of the shed too theres a set on spax springs on the way too

those look like MG-F wheels, right?
if they are they aint going to fit, since the PCD on them is 4x95.25 and your CRX has 4x100.

Hmmmmm I was sure MGF/Rovers were 4x100? Oh no if I'd actually checked I would have realised that, Rover 200/400/25/45's are, MGF isn't!!! Balls I hate it when I do this stuff! Anyone want a set of MGF wheels?!

Not a lot of point making them fit when there are so many 4x100's available, sure I can get my money back.

Cheers paulb, I'd be interested but I've already got a set of Toyo proxies waiting to go on so now I just need to find some wheels!

That's seriously cool. Some VW rims might look good, maybe some banded steels

I'm glad those MGF wheels don't fit - I don't think they would have worked on the CRX at all! Have you checked out www.rarerims.co.uk/ for some ideas. The ones you have been offered would look really good IMO.

Right then I've finally got some wheels that fit! and look ok I'll paint the centres as they've been scratched in storage, probably go for bronze - and should be on the car this week. Also been down the barn today and got a new water pump and cambelt on the engine, plus a few other jobs on the engine, and got bored and did this too
