Obviously I'm not really going to just throw away a bike I paid £400 for just three months ago, plus had to get a new logbook and tax and insure it for the year!
I'm just a bit disheartened that owning such a rare old bike, finding an exhaust is proving near on impossible.

JESUS!, £400!. best of luck finding an exhaust. have you concidered repairing the one you have?. thats what I would have done.

weld up what you have or clear just have a word with a bike loving person who will nock you one up for cheap.its clear not impossible to sort it.

Don't know if you've tried this guy, or even heard of him for that matter - but Jim Patch is something of a legend in Yamaha circles for tracking down NOS bits. Gotta be worth a try... 01935 881817
