Got 1st issue today, (the only copy my newsagent had), looks like it will be a good magazine with quite a variety of cars, good luck with it, lets hope it keeps going and doesn't dissappear from the shelves as quick as it arrived.
ps... good to see Simon Goldsworthy's Skoda MB getting more of a mention than in Practical Classics...KEEP IT UP

Will try tesco in Warrington as they seem to be better. Whereabouts are you? I work in Warrington, often pop into that Tesco's to look at the mags & autotrader.

I live real close to the TA barracks, opposite the Wire factory. Oh cool, I know the area. There is (or used to be, not noticed lately) an old Audi 80 Sport round there, a white one. Looks cool.

Think it is still there. The road behind me. Quite tidy condition, said morning to the owner one day when he had pulled it into the backs to change the brake pads.

I picked up my copy from the local Esso garage.
I like it! Not read half of it yet but it looks good so far.
Not sure about the dodgy stickers it comes with though.
And will, if you really want to strap a jet on to the top of your capri I can do you a good deal on a Rolls Soyce Spey engine.

Checked. No joy. It's an Esso, but it is actually a Tesco Express with Esso fuel.
Don't even look like they would have room for it anyway.

What's a Rolls Royce Spey engine? I was thinking more along the lines of an RB2 11. Do they come in yellow? Seriously though, I'm thinking of putting bubble arches on the Capri and painting it in Gulf Mexico colours. Any thoughts. Is anyone good enough with Photoshop to mock it up for me?

Oh good. I'll try my local one then.
Did have a look at the services at Hartshead Moor on the M62 on my way back from Elvington (SaabCentral/Saabscene trackday, photo thread to come), they didn't have it, so I guess I have to walk into town tomorrow, as Warrington parking is pay and display extortion.

Excellent. I had a sneaking feeling that was where Simon was off to, when the new Editor of PC said he was sad to see him go.
Smiths it is (or the local independant in town first of course).
must get it tomorrow, so i have a decent amount of time to relax and read it.

Aye, it's a very good start indeed. It's also the most techy classic type mag I've read in a while, which is no bad thing. And there's two pics of a Renault 4 in there. Result! Much say I'm no fan of some of the image manipulation (especially all the motion blurring), but I doubt less than 0.1% of the readership cares so I won't go on about it - plus everyone else does it anyway. So between PPC and RC, the 'indie' publishing secctor seems to have a market pretty much sewn up for a change. Nice one... hope it's a huge success for everyone involved.

What's a Rolls Royce Spey engine? I was thinking more along the lines of an RB2 11. Do they come in yellow? The Spey is a low bypass turbojet. It is fitted to the Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft, the BAC 1-11 airliner (where these two are from), the Bucanear and the RAF spec Phantoms. Two of the phantom spec speys were fitted to the Thrust SSC jet car that holds the land speed record. Should help with your Capris times down the strip. I might see if I can trial fit one to my Cortina, all I need is a roof rack, a bit of bracing and a diesel fuel tank! ;D
