Well my new car car has been delivered, "new" haha, it's a 1964 Singer Chamois which I bought off balck8driver here on RR.
I have stuck it in the cow shed for the mo as I need to clear my garage of general clutter.
I emptied all the bits out of it and had a better look around, a little disappointed that my first look was through those rose tinted glasses again A bit more rust than expected and it has had a nasty bump up the which results in a back panel that wont go in unless you heave each side of the car apart with your body and also a creased chassis leg to boot.
There is a load of bits missing but am searching and picking up odd bits here and there along with names of peeps to talk to
My first bit of actual work was to dive into ATS Stroud to strip the spare wheel and now I will blast it at work on Monday and give it a thin coat of primer. I can then bring it home and look at cutting it with the plasma ready for the 1.5" bands which have been ordered from one of our customers at work ;D Strange order of work but I have to do what I can when I can.
CC this weekend for the classic and sportscar trackday an hopefully get to look at a garage full of Imp spares that have come up for sale.
Well thats my first post on my new Imp, hopefully more will follow with pics
