Well, after a few months of chatting and plotting, I've managed to convince Richard Hammond to restore Oliver the Opel Kadett (the one he campaigned across Africa) with the Practical Classics idiots (Fuzz, John, Matty W and me). We'll be restoring and painting the body as well as giving him a few upgrades ready for his starring role in a top secret new TV project. We'll be running this buildup from the September issue (on sale August 13). But in the mean time, here's a few teaser pics:

;D This is fapping ace!! Although I have gone of Hammond a Little bit after he asked for a ridiculous ammount of money to stay with Top Gear. What's the condition like in real life? Wiring as bad as we think it is?

Wiring as bad as we think it is? The wiring's a bit moody but the body's not shockingly bad. The floor's been sealed up for an MoT (a dirty great big plate and cat-sick welds) but save for a few bits and bobs - I don't want to give too much away! - it's doable in the time frame we've got. OLIVER! Might have to re-watch that episode actually, loved it. C20LET would be awesome, but not really inkeeping with what was so great about Oliver in the first place
