Newly aquired the car Lotus originally wanted to make Lotus Senator.................. Yep really!! ![](http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n19/Bstardchild/Ducks%20Ford%202008/DucksFordJune200836.jpg) That bonnet/bumper shut line needs sorting badly but other than that not a bad car except for the heathermillsmatic box!!! So continuing with Sennys ![](http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n19/Bstardchild/Ducks%20Ford%202008/DucksFordJune200815.jpg) Scuse the stone chips - regular track action car ![](http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n19/Bstardchild/Ducks%20Ford%202008/DucksFordJune200827.jpg) ![](http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n19/Bstardchild/Ducks%20Ford%202008/DucksFordJune200842.jpg) ![](http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n19/Bstardchild/Ducks%20Ford%202008/DucksFordJune200813.jpg) Saving the best till last -when I broke my last senator several parts went to one person - the Irmscher 16 inch alloys - spacers and Body kit - it's now all finished and back together ![](http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n19/Bstardchild/Ducks%20Ford%202008/DucksFordJune200819.jpg) ![](http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n19/Bstardchild/Ducks%20Ford%202008/DucksFordJune200857.jpg) And it's fugging nice ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

Good to see you again today, made a nice suprise to see the Autobahnstormers at duxford whilst visiting with the father in law. Really liked the Lotus Senator and Rekord wagon. Hmmm! Lotus Rekord wagon ftw! ;D Comment of the day: whilst looking at the SR-71 "nice matt black paint but could do with slamming!" ![](http://elegantlywasted.com/images/Duxford_Jan03/sr71-2.jpg)

just because it deserves more attention. GOD DAMN THATS HOT!!!!! ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) is h-actual gen-kiddie lotus or carlton bits on a senny? That is a perfectly servicable Lotus Carlton LHD "Donor" providing all the parts required to "lotus carlton" a "senator" Heathermillsmatic AR35 box doesn't do much for me - I used to break em with 230 bhp!!!! With 377 it's days are numbered I reckon And the Grill Bumper shutline mess I just do not understand when you could have sectioned the bumper and extended the flat section and made the corners fit the grill - but thats just me I'm guessing the indicators are in the headlamps but not sure I've promised an ABS member I won't rip the curse word out of the owner for not being original and pointing out all the parts that aren't original senator and I suppose I'll keep my promise but the owner droned on for what felt like forever everytime I met him about being a "concours" man and not approving of any modifications/impovements so this was a somewhat unusual purchase!!! Feck it I still might rip the curse word yet ;D

extend grille into opening FTW. manual would be bestest, but a 700r4 might take the power better. 5hp30 definatly would, but weighs as much as the poor car (gearbox in BC's e38). and I still like it loads ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

Only ever seen a Lotus Carlton once in the flesh, JW Sandle in Kings Lynn had one. As I was waiting to pick up a car he asked if wanted a quick run to Cambridge to pick up a car. Expected a blast in the Carlton. Ended up going to a barn out the back and wheeling out a helicopter. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Saw a bronze grey metallic colour Monza today, sounded glorious and popping away on lift off. Made my cig break more eventful.
