i managed somehow to get this car of my brother he payed cash for it and i swaped him some old vaux parts i had lying about (long story ) i would guess that it owes me approx £40 then my mate gimme a set of cobra slot mags he had lying about of a mini (or i stroked them off him i cant remember ) i was going to put this vaux v6 omega engine in it but it doesnt fit the heads are 2 wide and to be honest i think the v6 would blow the 1.6 capri laser type 9 gear box to bits then another car came up and the engine would be better suited in it so at the min i have a car with a really clean shell (even tho the paint is as ruff as fook) and interior (which are the 2 main things ) and i don't know what to do with it i still have the ford gear box and type 9 to vauxhall bellhousing which i don't need for my new project tho i don't think the marina standard diff will take any thing more than a 1.3 engine so the thing is i have the car and drive train wheels ect do i stick a 2.0 8v c20ne in her for running about till i get my other project in the final stages or do i put all my effort in the new project and let the marina lie for another few years yet ??

prob best it gets used, couple more years and you might find it hard to get parts for. just stick a engine in! anything thats lightweight with ok power to weight.

yes but thats not the problem the bellhousing and engine would be worth more than the car and would take away time from the other project

slammed, big motor, leave it looking as it is paint and trim wise, and go round scaring boy racers! theres a bit of a story to that paint its on the tax book the same beige as marina nuts sig picture here in northern ireland they had a problem with the mot centres backing up so they were giving out mot exemptions which ment the guy who we got the marina off had he tax book and numbers of another marina with a valuable reg so here we have to produce the car to an external guy who comes out to see the car b4 he will give you the certificate for the very reason of valuable old plates ect so he needed a black marina he bought this one and painted it gloss black and it looked too clean so he pushed it out in the snow to let it dry next day he got his certificate and taxed it sold the number plate and declared it scrap so my brother bought it with the original reg docs ect so its rat but we didnt do it

weigh it in, they are terrible to drive and don't look good, nasty things, only any good as vans or pickups as at least you expect them to be uncomfy and fall over when cornering in commercial vehicle form.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

some people will say you should never weigh anything in, but ask em to buy something off you and its a different story, personally i'll weigh anything i don't want and cant sell on to someone who'll save it, they are only cars after all.

I really would have it in a heartbeat as Marina's are the badger's clack. They 'look' just as cool as a Cortina, and the actually don't drive that bad either (as long as you don't get too silly ;D ) Isn't there a big bit of wetness between you and me though?

That looks great, id buy it off you in a heartbeat!
Except ive got no room e.t.c.
Ive found marinas to handle pretty well TBH. If its a solid shell ebay it or try and sell it on here, otherwise strip it for spares and press it.
