i don't know what the best tip i was given was but i got the perfect tip of the day here ; brushable seam sealer AKA grey stripe made by upol . DO NOT under any circumstances use a brush to apply it ,makes a damm fooking mess which than you will have to remove taking triple the time you wasted on brushing it on . INSTEAD , get one of them white plastic gloves on and spread it with the most convenient finger . like butter on bread it applies clean and smooth as ferk ,i can deffo say its the best sealer i have used so far . TOP STUFF !!

If you're swapping a tire onto a rim yourself and you need to get it to seal against the rim, a squirt of quickstart into the tire and a lit match will do the trick (with a large bang which makes it much more fun.

Good tip!

Ooh Lord, I've had loads over the years. Off hand my favourites have been spraying aerosol paints into the cap of the can and stirring hard with a modelling brush before applying to small areas of bodywork (with brush) that you don't want to get over spray on or are too small to spray anyhow. Also the felt pen treatment for pre-auction cars is another cracker, as is the (self taught) 'cure' for Rover 1.4 K series engines prior to going into an auction ;D
