the wheels are metric so i don't think its worth banding them, if i could find a set of normal steelies i maybes would band them

the pcd is the same but its the rim itself is in metric, not many cars use tyres that are metric. I can still use any mini/metro rim.

You already earn mahoosive respect for having a go with a Metro rather than taking the boringly obvious route of stuffing a supercharged Metty lump in a Mini. Good luck with it!

Nice.. If I was owning this car I'd probs keep the standard interior and trim etc, lower it, band the steelies, clean the paint up, then stick the engine in. Sleeper ftw.

I think its been discussed here before but, personally, I wouldn't touch a JonSpeed charger kit with a barge poll!
Good luck with the rest of it though, Metros seem to be gaining popularity!

Stay away from the JonSpeed! To be perfectly honest you will be a million times better just making your own setup. Have a look at the ideas that come up on the threads on here and www.turbosport.co.uk - you'll find all the answers you need to make a good charger system (if only JonSpeed had done this.... ) Just type supercharger into the search on readers rides, builds of note are CR500Doms Kadett, the charged Moggie minor, and alex1380's new build on an MX5 should be of use as well, if for no other reason than he's going to be getting plenty of tips on what the best way of doing it is Also worth reading to get your basic knowledge of engines and charging is www.autospeed.com its a truely great site with lots of very well written articles that don't talk curse word. Love the ideas, good luck with it ;D

thanks for the advice, but i've already bought the jonspeed kit and i'm pretty pleased with it so far, although that could change when i put it on. i read up on the jonspeed kit on theminiforum and the guys on there were divided some said it was good and others bad, i thought about the option of making a set up myself but to be honest i don't have the facilitys to do it, thats why i've took a week off work to do it. My dad's not impressed when i bring home another wreck.
