i know this may be a long shot but i'd like a car under 80, its going to be my first as I'm going into motor mechanics and i'd like a cheap car to practice on. Willing to spend £80 or under. really not too bothered on condition. don't mind a bit of rust here and there and a few dents and bumps. don't really mind about mot or tax either, but its good if it has it. I'm in leicester so anything around there we could collect, thats about it i think.

Yep -agree with Cavmad.
As the owner of 3 early 60's datsuns, and several early Fiats (inc a 67 124 estate- virtually the same car as the Lada) I say they all have their place- and its simply wrong to berate people with differing tastes to yours.
We're all in it for the same hobby -lets act like adults, eh!

ive got a mk4 h reg escort, 1.4,2 door,tax till the end of this month,mot till 7th june ish 08,will probably need welding for mot(needed it last year and I noticed some for this year),breather at the back of the engine needs clearing out(it keeps blocking up and the oil goes in to the air filter,i unblocked it 6 months ago but it needs doing again but the engine starts and runs fine),4 decentish tyres on it(legal),its either dark silver or metallic grey(which ever way you look at it),dint on the front of the bonnet where I hit a duck!(it was 5am and I was doing 60mph and it was in the middle of the road),needs a new spacer on the break pedal as it moves from side to side but the breaks work fine.its been in the family for about 5-6 years and apart from the normal stuff(break pads,tyres ect) it hasnt given us any major problems. cant think of anything else at the moment but if you want to know any more just ask. oh yeh (lol) I'm in lincoln(not that far away) and I want £50 quid for it,must be gone by saturday 7th june or the scrap man will have it. let me know either way.
