Hey! I found out about this community and I thought I'd post my bike here! I think it's a cool bike, but I'm always repairing it... Now it's on a bike repair service, because I can't do it myself.... Anyways, here are some pics : Earlier pics: I've done a lot to it, as you can see. - Front light. - carrier, but removed now. - new saddle, old one's broken. - new tyre, old one was torn. - new fenders ;D - Valve lights I'm planning to repaint it, with my dad and a friend of mine, not sure which color yet...

Looks cool. As for colours, I reckon a single shade works best.
You should have a go at fixing the bike yourself, you'd be able to spend the cash you save on a car!

very nice - seems a lot of retro-car fans have a thing about bikes as well

Currently driving a '68 Karmann Ghia as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

Thanks! I'm a huge retrocar-fan! My parents almost bought a VW T2, but they didn't want an old car... Anyways, I'm very happy with it! @ alecw35: It feels nice, maybe the steer is a little too high, but it drives great! matt Jones: I think I'm going for dark british racing green... And the repair is an axle for the pedals... I can't fix that myself...

bikes are ridiculously easy to fix, unless things are seized, give it a go
i have too many bikes to look after - my mtb, my cx bike, my girlfriends mtb, my hack bike, and then my chopper restoration and another old bike currently on the workstand for work, plus a couple of frames lying around and loads of bits :-)
plus i'm after a cruiser when the choppers finished, and in the meantime i'm going to be replacing my stolen SS mountainbike whenever the replacement frame turns up :-)

if your pedal axle is damaged then its easier to get new pedals
if you mean the axle in the frame that the cranks revolve on. The Bottom Bracket axle. thats a bit tricky to remove, and ussually needs a few special tools to remove

I mean the axle where the cranks revolve on... So that's why i brought it to the repair service. tim: Wow! You've got a lot of bikes! I've only got this one plus a racebike... I'm planning to buy a Zundapp next year, fix it up and when i'm sixteen i'm ready to drive it! But first finish my Cruiser.

A Zundapp?? Jesus, hope you've been saving - they're insanely expensive, aren't they? A microcar would be rad, though.

I hope to find an old one. I can't afford a new one, or in a good condition, and it's not that fun as an old one.
But I still haven't got a phone call from the repair service :S I've called them 2 days ago, but in the weekends they're closed... Now i'm gonna call again. I hope to hear from them soon, cause I have to use my dad's bike, and he has to take the car...
