My compressor died so I did some modification and it is now a smoker Fire in the bottom gas bottle and the heat goes up the 3 stailess tubes into the reciever full of meat. Controled by a variable air vent on the base and chimney closers at the top. gets hot but not put meat in yet, sooon..

Get some meat in there!! Was in America years ago and met a family at a big Drag meet, guy smoked his own ham and kept me fed with it all afternoon, damned stuff was gorgeous.

That's cool. How hard was it to cut the compressor body up, I presume they're fairly thick? Did you angle grind or cutting torch it?

really must try it this weekend easy to cut as i have a plasma cutter to play with I would think it would be good with fish, don't need so much heat so you can fire it up and shut all the vents. If it works I may bring it to the heritage meet in august, have a cook off LOL

Man speak truth. Got any pics inside it, like are there any grills in there or anything or do you just stuff a side of a cow in there and let her smoke up?

now that is a king smoker!! Love the porthole on the feeder. I'd weld a handle on each end of the vessel to move it easier when hot. don't smoke fish in there though, fish needs to be 'cold smoked'....completely different 'kettle of fish' Oh and have you got somewhere inside the feeder tank for your water pan?
