OK, encouraged by the positive responses I have spent a bit of time digitally enhancing the "junk" photos, just like that Chinese guy in CSI right? Anyway about half the junk ones so far have come good with some manipulation. I mighgt be able to get a few more up worth sharing. I also (sinnce I was at it) had a bit of a play with some of the effects, now normally these just make me roll my eyes and go "yuk" but (1) on some it does enhance the photo and (2) in some it covers up what a bugggerup I'd made of the original shot! LOL.
First up we have this Mk2 Festa with a pro-street type of treatment. Love it. Did this used to be another colour? Or are there two of these? heavy B&W photos should remind you of the non-colour pages of Street Machinbe in the mid 80s.
Buggy Me! As the headlines in Custom Car used to read....
Stand and Delivery
Not sure if this is a Ford 7W Ford 7Y or a Pop with a new nose.
I had one of these. Love the slots
Thats a lot of old metal to get straight enough for a paint job like that.
More T Vicar?
If you look in the Collins Concise Pictorial Dictionary under "Red Neck" you will find...
Phantom?
Flatmobile
Daft but a crowd puller
I think its a '66 but it could be a '65. Stack lights rock. I've grained this so it looks like an old photo. Apparently.
Custom Consuls
I've run out of T gags.
Nice subtle gold Consul
Both of these babies have V8s shoved up 'em. YAH!
'I'm again
Hudson. Compare this to the satin black sled version elsewhere in this thread if you will
I like this. It has sensible daily driver written all over it.
Bit more Austin action, for those feeling Rubelious
colour tweaks to bring the tone of the rust out nicely!
Liked this as well. But I think I'd paint it.
Eventually
No good shots of the outsoide of this Anglia (E493A type)
Its in the details....
Dodge Dart or Phoenix? Can never remember how to spot the differences on these early 60s Mopars. Other than reading the badges. Nice car. Might even be an 880 or a Custom. They all look pretty similar. See the MK3 Zodiac look to it?
Wants some slam and some rims. Not sure which though. Supremes be too obvious?
Monotone rod
purple headed monster
love this. Mind you I keep having gasser thoughts about it
A right home brew vibe going on here. Reminds me of local car shows when I was a kid.
This was a naff boring photo until I B&W'd it. I think its because the colour of the car is a little bland. in a pale primer grey or white it'd look more mean.
I like '57s.
Sleasy Rider
Low Rider
The man who broke the bank at Monte Carlo.
This think was whistling like its either got a Jimmy blower or the water pump is about to die. Love it. Nice patina and slot mag combo
Subtle 100E
Chugaboom!
Korsair. Not sure if I haven't overdone this one. Its supposed to look like one of those 50s photos in Magnificent Eastman Color.
and for Kontrast...
R-R ride at last....
couple of old skool Fords very different in nature.
I should have bought this the first time it was up for sale.
A candidate in that colour changing paint thread we had a few days ago.
No, I don't like.
Low wagon
Lo-lo Merc
Devon. I resisted the "creamy" puns cos they would be awful.
high tech style coupe
Euro Caddy II
Space Kadett
Rare tin, bet he gets upset when people think its a Pop.
nice bikes.
Mr Torquer again...
'burban again
Pinball Wizard. Ultimate rod from my childhood. Wheels are SO wrong though...
Its just like being ta the pod in the very early 90s.
Viva in monochrome
and in full colour. Love this car. I had one, but not like this.
Nice Toy
Has a bag of potential. A fairly overlooked body style as well. Everyone goes ape for the realy early ones.
PPC Roller
Scene seen scene.
Great paint. Took me a mo to clock how great, but its great. not this season's fashion but hey, sod that. Looks good.
Fordson interior
A mate had one of these with the boot letters re-arranged to read B U M M E R
There were several nice Classics there. This is about the fifth.
Rays' Rods Plymouth. Used to be a real cheap way into a rod. I turned a couple down years back for cheap beacue the proportions aren't the same as a A or B. What a nob I was. I'd have to pay a lot more for one now. You live and never learn.
I have a few others which may rescue with a little more work. I'll post them if I can get them share-worthy.
