Planning for another video this weekend.. Not much time today, was almost five before I got started on the rod.. Been putting a sill on a golf. So, as I had the bodge out, and mayday is facing into a corner, I started on the laborious job of getting the rear curves right. Fill, sand, guidecoat, sand, more fill, etc etc... same on other side, 11.00 tonight, I gave up for now. Its almost there, only a primer coat so its all the same colour will show any ripples up now. Maybe tomorrow ;D

Hmmm, I might just have to 'pop out for a pint of milk' on Sunday. There is a Tescos just round the corner from the yard.

Well, I've driven it ;D had a very productive day today, and managed a sneeky drive up the lane (although I can't easily change gear yet, not done the column clamp yet. Bad news is, no video. My camera batteries expired right at the critical moment But at least Autofive was on hand with a still camera to record the moment. There Is a gear in there somewhere.... And its off!..... Where's he gone? Ah, he's coming back. On the road.... tax and test next (almost....) Windscreen, front panel finishing, witring lights and trim. doesnt sound too much to do in a month! Seriously, I was dead chuffed with how it drives. I only managed to find 3rd, 4th and reverse, but it pulls away in third reasonably easily, and doesnt seem to have any carb issues. nop flat spots, lovely noise. Exhaust isn't too loud, not intrusive, and even without a screen or goggles, 30 ish mph wasn't uncomfortable. An oncoming bumble bee probably would hurt tho Driving position is comfortable and natural, not at all cramped or awkward, thankfully! Means I can finish off the body now, and not worry about having to reposition things cos it doesn't work I promise, Video evedence by this time tomorrow!

Awesome dude, it looks even better on a road than it did in the workshop Looking forward to the video and stoked for you that it drives as nice as it looks, less time repositioning stuff means more time for finishing/moting/taxing it. Good work sir

I love the front-mounted steering box. Is there a breakable joint (can't think of the word) in the column somewhere? Looks like heaps of fun, just need googles and a leather flying cap.
