heres my new ride! daily transport to and from work and a load of fun.. thanks to pbottomley this is how i got it:   but i cant leave it std for long so.. firstly off comes ther mahoosive skinny stearing wheel:  and on goes the motolita one from my imp..  thats better  just needs a bit of stiching. never been sure about the big shiney grill on the ha so... i paint the inner section satin black:  straiten a few dents fron the front bumper and i did try quarter bumpers but tbh i don't think it works? so on with some overiders:  what do people think?? it looks a bit "custom" but not sure if they are staying yet? off with the skinny 12" rims and on with the wheels i had set aside for my imp..  ok so it needs a bit of slammage but I'm trying to figure out the cheepest and easyest way to go about it on the front?? maybe turn one leaf upside down?? hmm  and hers a shot of its rear sporting a new sticker! cheers bruv!   for now that is it... si |

Can I have the steering wheel back then ;D ;D ha ha... maybe?? I'm not wanting to mod it too much and when its painted (prob std colour but with a white roof?) i may put all std stuff back on when (quickley becomming an "if") i sell it in the future.. si |

thats my old viva , glad it went to somebody who will appreciate it , i originally got it from a guy in dewsbury who gave me free of charge including a spare engine and numerous spares , ive got a full set of original trade workshop manuals , yours for a tenner plus postage, i originally planned to fit a full tube fram chassis and a 350 ci chevy v8 to it , but my misses talked me into buying a trailer tent and i need the space on the driveway , so it went on egay and pbottomly brought it fro me. got to slam the suspension and fit woolfies though , proper retro custom. think ive got some of the rear brake shoes also if you want them. ade .

Its had a few miles on the clock since i got it off you Ade, at least 13,000 !! been a top car...... But space the new GT and the other two vivas make the drive empty, glad its gone to park next to the HB turbo.

Yep Uncle Pop does reverse eye leaf springs as well as uprated one, NOT CHEAP mind... the camber will be all up the stuff unless you make some custom wishbones as well. Unless you like the "my cars wheels look this they are falling off" look ;D ;D
The rear is basically swap the axle from under the rear springs to above them... I am sure it will look good whatever you do. It has a torque tube to the back axle so that will complicate things terribly, its not a prop shaft all the way to the back, weird design Half prop shaft then a tube for the last 2 foot or so....
I like the grille a lot, I am going to try it on mine as well and see what it looks like? ;D

a bit of bad news...  the viva is dead!! due to a load of wood falling off a van and hitting me head on across the screen! good job for not having seatbelts, I saw the wood comming towards the screen at the last second I managed to duck and leanover to the passengers seat and luckly didnt get a face full of 6x4... bad bit is the roof is well pushed back including the door/windscreen piller a bit! so if salvage is cheep enough I may be on the lookout for a new roof.. ill get pics up asap.. si |
