Cheers 'oldskool, hope you find a goodun. Few pics from Brands Hatch for the RC Mag track evening. I'm annoyed that I wobbled for this one, I think its much nicer than the other with the two.

Great pics, car looks great!! Nice and simple. I've always though a set of banded standard steelies with OEM centre caps would look cool.
Do you plan on fitting old school wing mirrors to this one? Thought that was a neat touch on your green one.

How to make your car sound silly: Remove back box, and slice open like a tin of sardines, Get rid of all the gumph in the middle, Badly weld in a link pipe, (I'd have used perforated if I'd had some). Pack with roof insulation - to hopefully dampen the sound a bit, and sew back up, It goes Prrrrrrp Prrrrrrp etc.

MOT today, fail on number plate light (numpty here forgot to check that when doing all the other bulbs), steering rack gaiter, and NS track rod end. Not bad at all. Track rod end needed ordering so it will be friday PM before it goes in for a re-test. Advisories for rust on the outer sill both sides. I was kinda looking forward to loosing my body work cherry too - I bought the mig set home from work to tackle the sills - It still need doing of course but can wait a bit now I know its not a fail for this year.

There's nothing planned currently other than trying to sell stuff Banded/otherwise widened or reversed steels would be good, there no time, not enough skill and definately no money for such things at the moment. I do however have some stock wheel trims. At least there are better than the mankey steels for now. I actually think I kind of like them with the low and the small tyres.

Get some 15" Clio steels and some ickle tyres. Is a cheap way to make it look cool and would be a very different look!

Lol, thats at about 7:15 before anybody else got there.
I know what the mean about the 15"s, but there's not the money even for cheap wheels, never mind the tyres to put round them.

Got a little while to wave a spanner in the cars direction this afternoon. I really need some wheels.

I do agree, you need new wheels, it's sad you had to part with the slots. The new bumpers look ace, they seem to make the existing wheels and trims look better. I sense a partial boot smoothing to be in the future for this little Micra too, especially now you can open it from inside.

New wheels in the pipeline...... Nothing super special, but the best kind of price - rent free long term loan It actually wasn't just one set, Mr Bickle offered a few and KFW almost insisted I took a set away after the jumble. From the Bickle stable, some Astrali's, And emerging from the Welsh tat hoard, some Cromodoras... I've started having a go at that one. They each have their own centre bore and PCD issues, the Cromodora set are a not unsurprising 4x98 with a CB of 58.1 (i need 59.1) and the Astrali set are 4x4" with a larger than 59.1 CB. Each presenting their own problems. Nigel's Astralies are going to be a lot more work to get looking nice, so I've settled on the Cromodoras. Hopefully I can get them looking as good as these... Those have been on a lathe and have had the lip machined to achieve a much more defined edge where the paint/polished section meet at the back of the lip, I'm not sure I'll be able to achieve such a good finish and crisp break between the painted and polished sections. Having decided what the wheels are going to look like a photoshop was inevitable... Now all I need is some time to get it together.
