Today was the day that my old Audi was to be trailered to my house having been languishing at my Mums for the past four years  This is how I found her, a little less pleasing to the eye than I remembererd  Having pumped up the near side front tyre the old girl moved further than she has in the past 9 years: Some piccies of it untouched as found:

With the magic of Fairy Liquid its as good as new, kind of, beleive me its worse in the metal (Ratride fans and Hoodriders look away now;)) Now its home the main plan is to get it running and get a years ticket on it. As far as my plans go for it i'm not sure now having sat in it, one things for sure though i'll be giving it a quick blow over in my mates oven to smarten it up whilst i sought out any body work and mechanicals.

Plans are to sort the paint work, fix the leaky sunroof, wide steels, exhaust and hit it with the stick for now. Plus it also needs a stereo to make full use of the retrotastic 80's speakers ;D

My mate runs an accident repair place with a nice warm booth ;D Having been a sprayer it shouldn't be to much hassle for me to throw a bit of paint at it, not sure whether to stick to the dark mettalic green or change the colour to black or white, any thoughts? What ever colour though it needs to be shiney i'm afraid

Although its close thats not actually the original colour as its solid rather than mettalic.
The original green is slightly darker too.

I bought one of these £130 cos it needed new front pads and the owner was to lazy/stupid to fit them and found it easier just to buy another car! It was Tornado Red with blacked out windows when 'privacy glass' was a rare, non MaxPower thing to have! Anyway, slammed onto some wider rims changed the look totally and considering it was driven by the wrong wheels it was great fun and I still have fond memories of it.... If I were you mate, I'd hit it with a big stick, wider rims and keep the colour so you don't have to curse word about with door shuts etc. Cool car!

Not much to report as i was working most of the weekend Replaced the fuel filter, sprayed some oil in the bores, checked i had a spark, checked all the hosing and rad etc and spun it over. Meanwhile my 7 year old daughter started cleaning the moss from the window rubbers, checked the oil (which needs replacing) and learnt how to check for a spark Next is to drain and flush the tank and try and get the old girl started

Dragged the thread back from the depths. My son was born 7 weeks ago so had little time to get much done. After a lot of faffing about it now runs, mind you it wasn't until it was running that i found out the rear box was mullered, a hunt round the garage found an old Jetex rear box for something or other and this was grafted on temporarily. Its getting picked up by my mate this week to have new belts and the brakes sorted plus a years ticket put on it, i would do it myself but don't have a lot of time to get stuck in to it. Next after the MOT is wide steels, paint and tw@tting with the stick
