Had a very productive day today, I'll let the pictures do the talking.
Anyways, here's a bit of a picture story! Obviously we took down the old potting shed and rebuilt it next to the greenhouse. Had to clear up the driveway a fair bit which involved moving the blue Golf. Which, given that there's no front axle on it, is gonna be a problem, eh?
Is it balls! Short bit of chain, early engine mount and an M10 bolt makes it dead easy. If you have a mental big forklift from the 1970s.
Couple of bits of floor section are down, so it's time to stick up the gable end. Normally you'd lay the entire floor first, but there's a reason why we couldn't do that.
Yep, we had to put one of the back walls in too...
Here's the reason here:
There was absolutely no way we were gonna be able to build this thing and then get my workbench in! :haha:
Had to stop play for a couple of hours in the afternoon to run Lizzie into the airport for another fun-filled week cooped up in some shitey hotel outside The Hague learning about some production accounting thing or something, but got the rest of the floor down when I got back, along with two more wall sections:
It's just a big single garage, really, here's a few pics so you can gauge the size:
And naturally, even though it's still not completely up, some of the numberplates already are!
Massive thanks go out to Peter, my neighbour, for helping out loads and for bringing the forklift round, and to Sharpie, who pointed me in the direction of his father-in-law (I think!), who built the thing for me!
