	Just reserving a spot till I get some photo's the story so far : I won a design competition at work and landed myself £50, the other half let me use the 50 to build a bmx, which I've always wanted! I fancied a retro, but £50 was going to get me chuff all! so why bother buying real retro when i can fake it? I'm not that So I picked up a set of white Mag's in just the style I was after(thanks to stuey!) and a couple of year old 20" mongoose frame for £5 off ebay going up to motorworld to grab a tin of stripper and some sandypaper at lunch! so far I'm thinking : kwak green frame white mags all other parts gunmetal. still need brakes/seat post seat/ chain crank. pics to follow, I also doubt I'll get real bmx usage out of this, so does anyone have any ideas for decent cheap parts to bring off a bit of a retro look? or if not, a bit of a "clean rat" look?

	Green and white coulour scheme sounds good, have a look at others in this section. I started with a pile of found/cheap spare parts, and wound up spending well over a hundred, which is ok, I just don't want to sell it now or get it nicked as I love the parts! check out this mash up I nearly bid on last week, so wrong but so funky all at the same time <3 cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320233616512&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011 look up Winstanleys BMX for some reasonable new bits, though never over impressed with cust servs

	would there be any chance of fitting forks with real suspension on a bmx? as in full on dampered mountain bike style? with some SERIOUS hack?

	Old Skool Fiends will maybe know better... But back in the early 80's there was a motorbike manufacturer (yamaha maybe) who'd done a Full suspension BMX, It was at our local motor bike shop maybe it was like this www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=133963 Most BMXers choose not to do suspension, though I'm sure I've seen race bikes with proper sus forks decent ones at that. 	"though I'm sure I've seen race bikes with proper sus forks decent ones at that" those would be ANSWER and they were the worst thing to hit racing other than alloy frames they flexed and simply didnt work , not to mention were a complete waste of time solution to a problem that wasnt there . tracks are smooth , no suspension needed ! , a lot of feel in turns was lost the people that HAD to be seen with them locked them out

	guz looks like a diamondback viper? (i think) forks are the wrong way round tho...nice for the money
