Thought i'd throw this idea into the pot now. Does anybody fancy having a convoy down from the North/North East to the show on either the Friday Night or Saturday Morning?
From Newcastle for instance you only have to go down the A1M, A1, M1 and you're more or less there.
I think it would be an awesome sight with a few retros driving down together.
Let me know if you're interested.

OBV I am situated in the middle and most of you pass Notts, so a meet there for us midlanders would be excellent.

Agree'd on the CB radios!
If we could have checkpoints on the way down that would be cool (ie. Services Nr where the M62 and M1 Meet, Donnington and somewhere imbetween etc)

Some over-enthusiastic roundabout blasting left a few of us confused for a minute with an assortment of dual carriageways to choose from, meanwhile half the pack were left nowhere to be seen . Will convoy down somehow, one day or the other.  |

Wouldn't it be great if we could arrange for both the NE and NW/Wales/Mids Friday convoys to merge where the M40/M42 link?? What a brilliant photgraph that would make. Retros left, Retros right...... Bit of timing and communication needed I think. |
