I have an audi quattro somewhere with elastic band driven 4wheel drive system !!! its pretty cool !! I had an RS200 with the same set up. Fairly shonky as the front wheels seldom touched the track but cool nonetheless! I do have a MK1 Scrote that I modified to have rear suspension, grafted flared arches, rear axle and spoiler from a Scalextric Porsche and tried rewinding the motor to make it faster. Didn't really work that well, but I was proud of it! Maybe I'll dig it out for a pic or two. Oh yeah, I had a Sierra Cosworth too that I stuck a bigger axle on and did some other stuff to that was quite cool, but the paint on it probably weighed more than the shell after all was said and done!  The best Scalextric car I ever had was a Fly Marcos. The only reason I bought it was that we were having a Scalextric night at my place a few, (read many!), years ago and figured I needed a new car and it had my company logo, (at the time!), on it. It was completely unbeatable! It seemed to be glued to the track! I tried putting a better motor in it and messed it up though.  Pic's to follow.................. |

I have an audi quattro somewhere with elastic band driven 4wheel drive system !!! its pretty cool !! I had one of these, but went down the two motors route to 4wd in a mk3 scrote! Could not keep the thing on the track! Would love to get all my old kit off my folks, but they are 'saving' it for when the grandkids go over...  |

umm cant remember something silly like 46/56 seconds? oh and thats not his entire collection he has at least another hundred hidden away, loads of rerto old skool ones too
