Been looking at some on Ebay recently for a bike project for myself, but mainly for my girlfriend, as she has a lovely Post Office bike that wants restoring. And I'm thinking a set of vintage dynamo Lights would look really great on it.
However if these units are damaged (can they be damaged?) are they easy to repair or update with more efficient internals?

I think those old dynamos were built to last ,unlike most of the modern stuff . doubt whether it wont work .Have had 3 ,all were ok despite me finding them at the bottom of old boxes at boot sales!
