Well, went to skip some stuff and look for metal to weld into the holes in the floor of the bus today. Managed to drop my Nokia 6300 or whatever it is,and fooked the screen, now bought new phone, as they were only £70, but how to transfer all the rude pics, texts etc, oh and phone numbers when you cannot see a bloody thing ? Anyway, cleaned/washed the toolbox, loads of WD40 and then some open close exercises. Plan is to primer it, then Satin black, with racing stripes and some sexy freehand pinstripes. What is the concensus ?

What's the most durable satin black you can get? or are you not bothered about scratches etc?

First coat of Satin black. Coat 2 and 3 tomorrow morning early and after work in the evening. Oh, the heaters help keep the air dry.

I have used £3.00 at Wilkinsons for this superb effort at mattblackness.... ;D Durable, well, scratches and dents make part of the "patina" of this "rare" toolbox. Honestly, I just want to play about, and have a small toolbox for the bus when it is on the road and being used. What's the most durable satin black you can get? or are you not bothered about scratches etc?

;)Well, that was an embarassing ROOSTER-UP !!! OK, my brushes are not for pinstriping, the paint is regular Dulux enamel etc.... But I think a coat of Black Hammerite smooth and some stickers are in order. Will load pics in a while. Take note children..... this is not a game

Process of how not to do it..... Take large glass of the end of Christmas' Harveys, and paintbrush and bash away at it. Could see here already that I was not going to be satisfied , could have stopped, but hell, I was having fun. Finished and ready for a coat of Black Hammerite Smooth.

That kind of reminds me of the tat you get to go on the roof of canal boats, maybe you should buy more Harveys, some watering cans, plant pots etc and set up a 'canal boat tat' ebay shop! Good effort though, this is almost spurring me to go out in the garage and attack my recycling centre tool box, quite fancy having a go at flames.
