yep, I got one. just a quick run down so far. brought very cheap from scrapyard. run it up, had a look at takegawa stuff. reeled in horror at the prices and brought a 140cc lifan lump for it instead ;D I know a takegawa is faster, better etc. but I just don't have those funds for this project. take one unsuspecting crunch... one box from ebay... shineyness! didn't take long to fit delivery from OORacing.com yeah! waiting for the missing oil cooler bolts to turn up now. also seeing which bits are bent on the front end. carb needs turning round, which needs the manifold filing. it only just clears the front wheel out there! its a 26mm mikuni BTW. I'll write a bit more another day I think, and leave you to ponder the insanity ;D

I had one of these bike's, don't know how much extra power you have but.. YOU GONNA DIE! watch out when you brake hard the front tops out, don't put sticky michelin m45's on it, they may bend the chassis, seriously.
also notice your rear wheel is dented? again how much was the engine? my dad would so do this the nutter.

cheers guys thanks for the link Ash, thats great. as for sheilds etc. this is going to be a stripped down version. I'm gonna go with a brace bar on the frame like some scooters (ruckus) run to 1) keep the frame straight and 2) somewhere to mount a proper fuel tank. the current tank has a fuel tap that mounts on the carb, mikuni's have no provision for that. eyeing up nsu quickly tanks ATM. terraroot- yeah the rim is forked. I was looking at some alloys from ducky bike on ebay (less than £100 inc delivery from indonesia!), but didn't get them in the end. I will be address the front end rise problem, gonna make the drum housing float extra power? apparently 12bhp ;D I'm told its got a 27mm intake valve proper clutch and four speed MX style gearbox too. also looking for some swanky rear shocks, it appears that monkey's use the same rear shocks or at least the same open length. nitrogen, remote damper shocks anyone ;D Grizz- that honda wave has a rather serous front end tele forks, big disc and four pot! christ! and those who want to know a price on the engine. £140 + shipping

£140 for 140cc sound really good, gotta link? the old man has three of these things, always complaining about the lack of wheely power perhaps if i could sort out a bigger engine for him, i might just get it out of the spare bedroom (which used to be mine)

Yep Edd, there were some beauties there. Problem is people are poor, so they bling up the little things they have.

lifan 140cc engine from the same seller I got mine from gone up a tenner now, and I'm still waiting on 2 banjo bolts for the oil cooler to run it. it has to be plumbed in as the oil pump directs oil round the cooler BEFORE it goes into the main gallery. the guy seems pretty genuine and my postman is a to$$er, so it might have just disappeared in the post bit more of the costings- the exhaust system I got thias one as its suitable for upto 150cc engines, most only do up to 125cc. mikuni 26mm carb needs a generic foam filter @ £5-£10 and thats about all you need. oh and someone mention supercharged monkey's? ;D

I like it, I had a honda c90 for a while, if I squatted down on it and got behind traffic I got 55mph! lol. they're not too stable at that speed though, kind of like an old raleigh shopping bike at 55mph.

like your style!! I'm using c90 cdi ignition on my dt, I need the little 5 pin plug and about 3" of loom, from the cdi, can you help??? sorry bud, my old engine has uses elsewhere my honda uses a 4 pin connector and 1 flying lead rather than a 5 pin all-in-one. there's this on ebay (click the text ) pit bike loom with cdi's etc. reckon it may use flying bullets but worth an ask in other news, i straightened most of the bent front end today. it was the forks twisted slightly. handlebars are bent to b*gg*ry, but I'm gonna stick some cg125 bars on i reckon.
