Went by my not so local (27miles away) skip which encourages recycling and removal of stuff from there today on the way home, looking for bits of steel, some thick wood and also that ellusive Snap On toolbox..... one day I will find one there Anyway, I did find this little motor, it says J on the fuel cap, and I will go into the garage to check it out and clean it up later when my Friday admin is done. I can imagine : Anyway, no idea if it is good for use as an anchor, or maybe more ammusing than that if started up. To put into perspective..... the bench grinder behind it, is a small one.

Currently driving a '68 Karmann Ghia as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

Few more pics, got it somewhat dismantled, cleaned carb, de-coked the exhaust, and cleaned a lot of gunge off it. No idea if it will run, but will take sparkplug out in the morning, also not sure the magnetto or whatever clever stuff is in there to run the electrickery works. Pics:

if you could slip on an auto clutch from a moped at the end of that crank... it's still be under powered any idea what cc it is? looks like an easy engine to mount if you do make a barstool racer, go for it!

That looks interesting, and the idea of bolting it to a bicycle is to be encouraged.
Where abouts is that 'take it please' tip - I could spend a while in one like that.

Spot on mate. I would even consider putting the whole thing as a generator onto a simple chassis and adding wheels from a wrecked radio control car onto it..... sort of mini racing generator. Keeping to the Sinclair theme.... ;D ;D ;D let me know if ya need a plug for it (much cheapness) how good to drop a bit of red paint and sinclair stickers on and use as a kettle/tea making generator ;D

Engine is from Qualicast Panther mowers. Need to date it, and they are 2 stroke by the way, so not up to pulling a generator.
