No mods as yet but picked this up, thrown out at the tip: Honestly can't believe what some people chuck, has a good assortment of tools, some of them Britool, Kamasa, Stanley. Not Snap-on but not cheap rubbish. Some nice small nut drivers, a couple of decent drifts, a good set of needle files etc. Added it to my nearly complete Kamasa 3/8" socket set and other fold out box, all saved from the scrap metal bin. Makes me laugh when I think of the old 'make do and mend' approach of my Dad who's never binned a tool in his life.

Lol! What a find! I'm amazed someone threw that away, makes me quite angry to be honest! I was at the tip watching this bloke offloading all these kids toys into a skip just before christmas, none of them broken or anything, straight in the bin. Made me angry because he obviously had a bit of cash and didn't give a toss, but why didnt he just give them to a charity shop or something? People like that boil my pee Anyway rant over, good haul!

Well.. Their loss, your gain! Stuff like nut drivers are surprisingly hard to come by now. Old tools rule.
Always pays to take a peek when you walk by a skip. It's like the lottery, but your chances are much better.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

SWMBO despairs of me visiting our municipal tip. The times I've come back with just about as much stuff as I took is fairly embarrasing. I even once brought home a complete trailer. I only needed the wheels off it, but didn't have tools, so I hitched it up and dragged it home and used some of the frame for some other things. And then there's the stuff that you see in the bottom of the skips and either can't get at, is too heavy, can't get it home because of the size or you just don't have the time or anywhere to put it when you get home!! traveller, me? No!!!!!!! De ye loike dags?

[moral of the story] never pass a freshly laden skip! [/moral of the story] went out for a run in a mate's truck this afternoon - 2 car ramps, fairly heavy duty, foc out the back of a skip - and I even asked at the house before taking them! skip finds FTW!! - kev

Nice find, you can never have too many tools.
But why the hell did someone throw that away...?
Still, their loss your gain. ;D
