I've been lurking round here for a while now, really like this forum so thought I'd better post something to contribute ! so heres my soapbox built in a couple of weeks with mostly free stuff, came about after a drunken discussion about what to do this winter with no money.
Basic spec
- mild steel box section frame (found around the garage and skips) stuck together with the MIG.
- 20mm rear axle running on SKF industrial bearings (borrowed from work !)
- Mountain bike brake and homemade disc.
- Areo back brown seat (local school cast off)
- Mini steering column and 10" steering wheel with custom linkage
- Wheels acquired from various sources
Been raced a few times in the local woods, great fun and fairly fast just got to find some road courses now........
now the question is .... do i paint it ? if so what colour?
