I had a HPI Pro 4 lying around that had done a season of nationals and had been resigned to a spares car for my Cyclone, but after selling the Cyclone and getting a Schumacher Mi3, I had the Pro 4 going spare.
So instead of leaving it to gather dust, or punting it on ebay, I got busy with Mr Dremel and created this:
Sorry for the blurryness, it was about to rain and it finally did when I snapped the last one.
The body was from an M03 I got from ebay and was fit for the bin and had been painted white on the inside, silver the blue on the outside, so was perfect for some chopping.
It still took 6 cells, but this time I could fit my Orion 4800mah LiPo in. The front gearbox design meant it could be swapped from a spool, or a diff to a oneway when needed.
When I took the pics, there was a couple of jobs needed doing such as countersinking the rear underside and making some shock mount screw tubes to stop the front shocks moving forwards under compression, but when they were done, it was pretty quick.
And still lighter than an M03. Bonus!
Any Q's, just ask.
