ridden bmx for 13 years
ive seen many fads come and go and can remember when 1 1/8 headtubes on a bmx were new and "oversize" meant a 25.4 seatpost lol
this is an out of date pic of my terrible one scott malyon signature ( identified by its euro bottom backet and gyro tabs ) which to my knowledge is one of only 250 made
its ford arizona gold ( mk3 cortina )
forks are alans ( the shop ) old s&m race forks
seatpost is xlite and the seat is slr ( carbon and titanium )
gearing is a low 32/13 ( going backwards is harder )
since the photo ive bought some s&m pro race bars ( chrome ) , put my old redneck on it and used the shimano lx cranks off my kona
old kona lava dome
pace forks , chris king , xlite seat , £20 ( £8 trade ) wheels lol , steve peat xlite stem , 7 speed ( front mech locked for use as a chain device ) carbon seatpost and no front brake . the rear v is a 98 shimano lx ( m600 ) that is still the best v ive ever used lol
next is my no name rigid
erm
front wheels mavic d521 on a deore hub 26"
rear is hope xc with 24" atomlab
hope discs front and rear
forks are a one off dmr made of their original trailblades that they painted white but wernt happy with the finish so these are the only ones in the world !
nokon cable , hope titanium skewers , sora mech and road block , xt shifter . the rest is cheap bits i picked up at work ( i used to manage a bike shop so £2 for pedals and £15 for cranks wasnt bad lol ) because it was on sale on the bay but it didnt make the reserve so its now a collection of parts in the spare room
next is my standard 250s bought from a lad in jackson ( usa )
its a 20.5 toptube and i cut the rear end to 13.6 so it has great balance , removed the ad990 posts/cable guides , trimmed and drilled the dropouts
the keen eyed will spot the cut down seattube which is tapped for a seatpost ( the xlite currently residing on my terrible one )
the seatube is also drilled and ive even drilled the headtube and bottombracket shell lol
this weighs about 5.4 lbs now
oh and those forks are macneil rubens . which reminds me of when i met him at the old etnies dvd premier when my mate was saying his new macneil signature was basically a terrible one lol " its a little bit "
that blurs pink when it spins lol
oh and ive got an ammaco freestyler at my brothers in cornwall with some genuine shimano dx pedals
i used to run a bike shop so if anyone needs questions answering just ask
