Crikey this is inspiring me to get into the loft. Ive got C16 with 300 games and a C64 with over 2000 games for it. God knows how many school lunches i didnt eat so that I could save the money up and get a Rainbird, Silverbird or Mastertronic £1.99 title. Oh how I dreamed of those £2.99 titles that had nearly life like graphics I'm actually looking forward to seeing those Raster bars again.

Blimey thats a trip down memory lane. We still have our BBC model B, was the envy of my mates who had spectrums. Extra kudos was earned when we had a disc drive instead of the tape recorder. Wonder if its worth anything now?

Christ, I used to do my homework on one of them. How time flies, eh? Christ! They weren't invented in my homework days - how time does indeed fly...

(olky kidding of course Alistair) ive tried reseating the chips of course but to no avail.. figure theres a dry joint somewhere but have no idea where to start looking.. I just wanted to do a bit of basic again to relive my younger pre-point an click days and of course Mole attack gets a hammering

There should be a verson number somwhere on the board ? Bottom left or bottom right if I remember correctly... When its powered up ( wthout cart ) try tapping all the chips in turn. Also , have you tried another PSU !!? If you unscrew the board from the bottom part of the case and look at the joints from underneath, you can sometimes spot any dodgey ones....

Sweet collection!!!! Pretty cool! I set my commodore 64 (newer one is it the C64C?) up a few weeks ago. Then last weekend got GIVEN two more and a 3 boxes full of games and other goodies. One was the same as mine the other was the earlier (Breadbin?) style with a missing key (U got any spare keys? I think its number 9 i need i can check)
I also got a SNES for £25 with a bunch of games, however THE WHOLE LOT has gone yellow with ages, Everything that was white/grey is now yellow. Do u have any methods or ideas of how to get em back to normal?

Ive got a master system 2. Mine has the power adapter wire soldered to the circuit board instead of using a plug into the socket thats still on the board. Strange. I was thinking of modding it so the power adaptor is in the case. But its quite big and theres little space in the case. Also gonna put phono sockets on the back for video and sound. Which seems quite easy to do.
