thought i'd put up a pic of cb400n flat tracker,,started off as a superdream, had it since i past my test and it's stayed standard and parked up as a second bike.i built a xs650 tracker first which i sold on then decided to do the same with the cb for a bit off green laning,,still needs a few finishing touches but all t&t'd and very enjoyable to ride. just been to minehead on it and despite the lack of seat padding it was surprisingly comfertable...anyway if anyone likes it enough i'd probably be open to an offer as theres always another project round the corner...let me know you views good or bad ;D.

Looks excellent, how would you define a flat tracker?

it's a bit like english speedway, the american used xr harleys and xs650 yams with a seat unit like the one on mine.....ccm have just built a new one and i think it's a sport that is starting to take off again......not real up on it to be honest so i might not have my facts completely correct but i liked the style of the bike and bought a seat unit and the rest is just how i wanted it....definatley good fun to ride and looks a bit different to your run of the mill trail trial enduro bikes....

Oh sounds cool, use road bikes as a base because loads of suspension travel isn't needed, knobbly tyres to grip the dirt/gravel/shale track and the superflous bits lopped off. Cool.

That is seriously sexual. Not at all the same, but pulled this out the garage today, minus seat, as it is on an optimiser, just to run up and down the park, as the new owner is picking it up on Wednesday. I personaly like flattrackers, as they have a very purposefull stance.

This one has only done about 24k km's, which is very little, and the motor is still extremely sweet. I have a mate who also has one in "KIT" form.
