Cool chair! Plus, a great use of old spares. Oh, and the models look nice too.

Yep, necessity.... I know that.
I see you have at least one number plate up as well.
Nice models, I have a mate who went mental and bought thousands of ££'s worth of models, cabinets etc, and then when it was all set up, moved house, lost interest and sold them for a pitance. I have a few of differing scale, but all mean something to me.
Numberplates I do like and collect as they all mean something, geographically , historicaly and of course whatever story comes with the car.

Great work, my dad has a Datsun vinyl chair in his garage 'office' its been theer since the 80's i think its now held together with tape if its still there! used to be great fun, cos i was so little when it was built the recliner springs were quite stong. Handle, ,Whooah! ;D Great I'd, i'd do the same with my stocks, but fiesta seats are not comfy in the car never mind desk! Models, top collection love light s on christine!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I see you have at least one number plate up as well. Sad to disappoint you, but the plate's a joke one made up by my in-laws for my birthday one year and says "DADDY COOL" on it for some inexplicable reason!!! I did used to have a selection of American plates that I liked, but they've all dispersed, (mainly off the backs of car's I'd put them on for decoration!!). I also have a 'show' plate shown in the picture of the white bull nose Trans Am. I got that when I was in Florida a number of years ago, but it's nout special as you can buy them off eBay for pennies these days.

Brilliant idea! Any build shots? Or a how-to? Thanks, Not my idea though. To be honest, it was dead easy. No build shots though, sorry. All I did was take the base of the broken chair and strip the chair bit and associated bracketry off. Then I removed the subframe off the car seat and offered the base off the original chair up to guage where to drill the holes to mount it. Drilled aforementioned holes and screwed the seat on to the base. Ta-Da! Had to make sure that it was bolted as far back as posible so I can recline without risk of falling over. I spent most of the time searching for four appropriately sized and threaded bolts to mount it with

This is what I'm going to do with one of the VTS Saxo seats my mate has left in my lock up.
I'll let youse know how I get on.
And a half leather phase 1 205 GTI seat would be the dogs.
