Here's my eighties Tomy Robot collection. Hope you like 'em! Chatbot catching some rays: Dingbot maxing on my speaker: Minibot guarding my record collection: Omnibot ready to deliver some toilet reading: Omnibot is getting a new perspex casing for his head and I'm turning him into a supplementary ICE install for the Honda. I plan to use his tape player as well as a soon-to-be fitted tuner and input/holder for an MP3 player.

Retro overload! Me and my sister had a dingbot when we were kids. We pulled him apart to customise his body, he wasn't the same after that unfortunately.

Awesome! My neighbour had an omnibot, kept driving it into the toilet whenever you were in there ;D Most disconcerting!

what was the one where you typed distances and directions into it and it went off doing its thing? You don't mean BigTrack do you? Like a six wheeled tank sort of thing that you program to do stuff? I still have mine somewhere from when I was a kid, it was cool! Excellent robot collection, I too have a Dingbot somewhere!

I think there was two, big track and a robot version. I think i had the robot. It had a round keypad on its head i think.
I might be wrong, it was a long time ago, it might have been big track.

I also had a Dingbot years ago, and I also took it apart to see what made it go.
I'll never forget those sad little eyes it had when I realised it'd never go back together....

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I've still got a Dingbot somewhere, came with a little map it used to hold too.
Always remembered my first school 'Romer' , drawing things by putting a pen in it and such

Project Omnibot ICE has begun! I've been a wimp and got an old soundsystem fixer-type colleague to do it for me, though.
Just got to finish the Honda so I've got somewhere to put him, now...

I've got a dingbot, he resides on his own box on the wall in the lounge ;D I couldnt remember his name so we just call him 'meep-meep'. anyone that had one and remembers the noise will understand why I bought a bigtrak from a car boot sale a couple of years ago but unfortunately it didn't work and I ended up throwing it when we had to have a huge clearout
