Not a big collection but here are my favourites. I like Heuers mostly because of the motor sport link and they are more of a tool that mostwatches of the period. This my c1970 Heuer Monaco with 3 registers, its similar to the watch McQueen wears in the film Le Mans but rarer (i'm told). This is a 1974 Heuer Carrera with Auto wind. I weights a bleeding ton with all the winding mechanism but it’s my favourite and gets worn everyday. This little blast from the past is an early 70s Novus LED watch. It takes 2 huge batteries which last about a week it the buttons left held down. Batteries are the big problem with this as they’ve not been around for years.

I love old watches, although don't really have the cash for it (gets spent on cars!!) Out of your collection the Carrera is my favourite, although the Monaco is an icon due to Mr McQueen.
Omega is my favourite brand - particularly models from the 50's and 60s.

Very nice. I don't wear a watch but have a nice Yuri Gregarin commemorative one, it's hexagonal and probably from the 60s. There's a plastic button on the strap showing a photo of that pioneering cosmonaut. If I find it, I'll take a picture!

Nice watches If you've got any that need fixing give us a shout My daily wear is a good quality swiss made automatic from the late sixties. I've also got an old '30's ish Omega that was my grandads which has a really cool striper fabric strap. I could post pictures of some others that have come through my hands and beat everyone at the "older is more retro" stakes

I've just been trying to add some pics of my small collection, a few 70's / 80's Seiko 5's, and a '69 Seiko Auto Chronograph. The chronograph is wearing a fabric strap, or a hirsch carbon effect leather strsp depending how I feel, a couple of the 5's are standard, and one has recieved a movment and face transplant and has a Hirsh rally strap, the spedometer/revcounter style of the face complements the strap really well. Will put up some pics if I can get the macro on my camera to work.
Would love a Carrera!

Used to have a large collection of watches until I had a burglary, and all but one were nicked. Now have one Russian "Tank Comander" and a modern Tissot that cost a packet, both reside in the bedside drawer.

Loving this thread Here's my collection of tat, mostly Soviee, although I do have one of the first digital Omegas that was custom made to fit the wrist of Cec Pepper (the Australian cricketer) somewhere. I remember trawling round places when younger trying to get a battery for it. That one isn't pictured..... Chaika quartz. This was my everyday watch until it started to become unreliable It goes a weird gradiented blue whenever the light hits it. Slava analogue. Great design but again unreliable. Raketa Chronograph analogue. Giant face (scared of scratching it), picked up for 30p at a church car boot sale. I can't get a military style strap to fit between the pins \ calipers. Not sure what this one is but it's very delicate and pretty Elektronika 1, first Soviet digital watch which works Again with caliper \ strap problems. Analogue Chaika which I love to bits, really brick like, its design reminds me of the old Arndale Centre logo, having trouble with the calipers for getting a military strap Really knackered Vostok which is ace! Fifties Omega which I was given, been told its worth a few quid? If you can sort me out with some military style straps for the difficult ones \ get the troublesome Chaikas going Seth, let me know!

Commie watches FTW all the way. I was looking at some super cool CCCP Stylee ones on ebay a while back but they went for more than I wanted to spend at the time. My best watch is an orig 80's dukes of Hazzard watch that plays dixie. I bought it still in it's sealed box and everything
