just wondered if anyone knew anything about these bikes as i don't wanna cut anything up which would be bettter left alone.

Is it an old one? what are you planning on cutting it into? if its 80's vintage and decent, sounds ok, could be keen meself if you decide not. my old dyno was a 90's one which bizarrely s retro now too! sold that for £20 Doh!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I wouldnt get too excited about a Dyno! Unless it was an oldschool Pro Compe or Pro Freestyle tour Dyno were really GTs budget range of bikes. I think that the seller is being optimistic about the original price as most Dyno stuff came in at around £200 ish.
id offer him £40 for it and make him feel like your doing HIM a favour at that!

as above unless its one of the real older (realtivly) sought after pro bikes most of them aint collectors pieces if you can get it for less then I would but at that price you wouldnt be loosing much and you shouldnt feel bad about chopping it.....

sweet, ill put a bid in next time i see him. I'm not too bothered about cuting the frame really, my plans were to fit monekt hangers and bend the seat pole back on itself so the seat is over the rear wheel, a sort of lazy cruiser if u will

Interesting idea, chopping the frame, and lowering the bottom bracket crank- lowering oh and new shorter cranks and lower gearing, would be an idea if thats the plan. BMXs are quite High for clearance. plan sounds crazy - in a good way. get a piccie if ya can. i'm curious now for what it is.

I'm just gonna mod the pole which is actually attached to the seat, not the part which this slides into, its difficult to explain. but basically i want the seat pole to come out the top of the seat post, bend at a right angle towards the rear wheel then bend back upright again just in front of the rear wheel.
I think itd be easier if i just wait til I'm home so i can do a photocchooop tbh haha

If you want a proper BMX, I've got a sick Fly Diablo for sale...
Bit modern, though.

my brother has an old skool bmx in the shed what they worth some one told him about £80 is that close I'm no old school BMX expert, but I can't see it being worth that much. I always considered the Piranha as being about the worst BMX you could get. That might give it some value to a collector I suppose but even then I reckon they'd be after an earlier one (with the gusset and the horrendously heavy cast wheels).

Pretty much the same as this: S&M Slam bars, S&M Redneck Lite stem, Fit forks, Primo three-piece cranks, Big Cheese star-style grips, S&M platform pedals, Gussett chain ring, Primo Wall tyres and Demolition wheels. It won't be cheap though!
