Too many mods to list - easier to say its a Scirocco with Corrado Mechanics ( since it mostly is!) Not running at the mo - need to send the Avo's back for refurb among other things........ so much to do so little time........... photos courtesy of retro cars who did an article on it....... Also have a Mk1 Scirocco GT11 Cabrio. A conversion done from a kit by Beiber. Work in progress............ ttfn Mike Simcox Scirocco Register Founder.

love the mk1 shape, another car that brings back fond memories of driving from youth. cant remember the last time i saw one, aiui they suffered from bad bulkhead/scuttle rot, is that right?
love the idea of the vr6 one, brilliant. u ever tempted to go back to standard bumpers on it, just to sleeper it up even more?

My second ever car was a Mk1 Rocco, 1588cc GLS in Gunmetal black - lovely car. I'd lose the VR6 badges and go sleepy sleeper with it. The cabrio is different, was the "Mk1" a typo or does the kit come with a Mk2 front end? - can't see the rear clear enough to tell if it's Mk1 or 2.

Cool vr6 mkI! Much prefer the round lamps to the mkII's square jobbies. Is the cabrio a mkI or a GTII? Looks the same front as my scirocco

Looking good there - welcome aboard. I'd personally not have the rear badge and annoy the wannabe's for a laugh now n then - but the car looks great with a load of I remember my Uncle had one - are the clutches always really heavy - or was it me being 11 that did it? ;D How's the cabrio look with the hood up? Never EVER seen one.

Hi all Thanks for the nice greetings........... It was a TYPO for those that asked the cabrio is a Mk11 - must leanr to tpye :-) I am gonna hold my hands up now & tell u I didnt put the hours in on this one. Altho I have built many a rocco being the Register founder, I didnt do much on this one. Came to me nearly finished. One of those things that found me. Same with th Cabrio. It found me - e-masil one day saying I have a car you might like. Me thinks god not another car! It had been satfor 3 years & not moved, but with minor fettling passed a test. Needs a good refurb tho quite scratched and could do with as new roof. Got no pics with the roof I don't think - but reminds me of an old TVR at the back. I was thinkig of catcching the West Yorkshire meet this weekend?? Dependant upon weather - and if I decide to tax it ( Sorn at the mo) don't get to many Scirocco Registermeets any more - time money & the fact that a lot of membership seems to have migrated further down means not much Yorkshire activity anymore ;-( The VR6 as I said is off road - waiting for me to fix it. Have a stupid problem cropped up with my elbow that is stopping me rarving and chewing at the mo - most frustrating! The bodykit is a one of made to measure. so makes it kinda unique. Glad you like it. Have some piccys on the track somehwhere - one funny one is of me on a corner flat out, car pratically level. The following pic is an old beamer on the same almost on 2 wheels! Suspensions a littl firm! Clutches on standards are heavy cos of the way the cable goes. This being a VR6 its all changed to hydraulic. cheers all........
