Hey there a bought this mk3 polo coupe last febuary and have been floating about the site mainly just reading stuff (which goes in but generally makes little sense to me!). I have a huge affinity with retro cars but unfortunately very little shall we say technical ability to keep them the way a want( a really want a beetle) so I opted for this slighty older motor cos it ticked all the boxes for me.
This is her standard
Anyways since buying her for a little more than she was worth even with the fsh and low mileage, I havent achieved that much apart from lowering her 60mm ish all round with some wheels and a few chasis braces to improve the comedy handling .
As she stands
She is currently 1.3 spi but hopefully get moviong with the Gt(3f) conversion next week though.
Apart from the engine change my main aim is to get it so it goes through the twistys a bit better so am changing suspension fairly soon and hopefully adding a fairly serious subframe to the equation soon and to generally keep her in as good a way as possible. ;D
