charger came from a new mini cooper s its an eaton unit.
1293cc with ported head, fast road cam, low comp pistons, elec ign, 3 branch and about 5psi boost = over 100 bhp.
it goes well for a moggy.

Do you have any icing up problems on the pipe from the carb to the blower?
I know on the mini kits they really suffer from icing and fuel seperation...

ice up was a problem till I wrapped the pipe, now no problem.
It has a slippy clutch at the mo cos the pressure plate isn't strong enough but that is to be sorted soon. Engine is only set up by ear at the mo as well but it goes well.
Will have it set up properly after sorting the clutch.
I have timed on a gps a real 0 to 60 time of 8.9 so I really expect 0 to 60 to be in the high 7's when sorted. Top speed is over 110mph at the mo but I will never bother finding out what it is cos 110 in a moggy is enough for anybody I think. Scary thing is that was in 4th not 5th.

engine with homemade manifold, I made manifold more like a plenum so the supercharger could blow with minium restriction, unlike the manifolds you can buy.  engine bay is tidy, five speed sierra gearbox with custom bell housing  rear view with no exhaust or bumper is subtle but I think well cool  Interior will be stripped, caged, period buckets, harnesses, painted floors. I have started but there aren't enough hours in the day!  8.8 : 1 courtesy of ital van dished pistons fitted by my own fair hands. I would love to lower it more but it would loose the surprise element. I am also planning to fit mondeo 15 inch steel wheels painted old english white with 195/50/15 yoko's with the chrome moggy centres fitted as well. Its running ford pcd all round, with mk2 escort rear axle and front hubs redrilled. |

That's fantastic! Nice manifold fabbing! I reckon Mondeo steels in Old English Whilte will look amazing - I think that blue and cream combo works so well. |

bottom pulley is maestro 1300 been machined a bit, bolted on as normal. then a spacer and an alternator pulley from a 2.0 twin cam sierra bolted on. works well and cost nothing.
tensioner is a mechanism and bracket from a rover 214 fan belt tensioner with a pulley from a focus 2.0 auxiliary tensioner on it. works well and again cost nothing.
all fits behind rad a treat and is mechanicable, ie; not a basta** to work on.
