Picked up this little gem today. The price was too cheap to pass up. It runs and drives and has relatively little rot. $85 and it's legally driving around town! Now, what to do with it?

Cool! There's a V-4 forum here that is quite active plus a load of other info. Engine swaps are awkward because of the layout and the stud pattern is a near unique 5 x 170mm. Easy to lower though!

Well, The car itself was inly $200. The tax and License fee was 85. So still cheap. It belonged to John VanLandingham of local cosworth fame. I dropped buy to buy some connecting rods for the Volvo Amazon rally car and left with a SAAB!

Sweet old car, I really quite like these Used to pass one on the way to school many years ago and as a kid I used to size it up and think it would make a cool little commie sled.

What a beauty! I think these look great lowered, and i've always thought these would look good in two-tone, with the line following that gorgeous curved swage line that these have along the side of the body. Maybe with cream at the bottom and olive on top or something? Wish I had the photoshop skills to see how that would look Great bargain though, nice work!

Well, I just bombed her around town tonight. Gauges still not working, but everything else save the clutch is. Good thing this Vee is not nearly as heavy as it's larger cousins! Gunna pull it and replace the slipping clutch. Also need a new windshield. Damn.....

Gunna pull it and replace the slipping clutch. Wait! Is it slipping while driving or are you having difficulty getting fears? You can adjust the clutch action in a couple of ways. The slave cylinder can be moved forwards to make the clutch action "deeper" by putting washers behind it - no more than 1/4" worth and maybe not even that as the release arm will end up hitting the clutch cover. Then there is a square headed adjusting screw over on the other side of the bell-housing that you can wind in/out to get a bit of free play in the release arm to make sure the clutch isn't partly disengaged while driving. Could get you photos if any of this doesn't make sense
