Hello all...
Finally I have a car to play with!!
I drive a new company car (Diesel Mondeo) which I'm obviously unable to play with?! So now I have my new house with sizable garage I thought id get myself a 'project'
Ive been looking for some time and nothing has come up that fitted all my needs.
1. location (had to be close to Essex as the car would prob be undrivable)
And b. price (under £200)
3. condition (OKish)
4. size (small)
5. Year (old to be rare enough but new so I can still get parts!)
I like the whole 'rat look' scene and originally was after a VW. most likely to be a polo or golf. But this pug come up on good ole ebay just down the road to me. I haggled down to £150 delivered.
It is a state....

I bought it from lookicg at the pics as it was pennies so didnt really bother if it was worse in the metal...I think it is slightly worse in the metal...!? Nevermind...
Problems to sort-
1.Brakes. - don't work. Its been sat for a couple of years and its now not holding the brake fluid? Easy leakage fix? We will see...
2.Interior. Dirty and stinks, plus a few things are not attached...So just a general sort through, spit and polish..
3.Body Work/paint. - small dent in the boot, rust at the bottom of the passenger side door, paint fade and general scratches. Tops the the wings the laquer has peeled.
4.Battery dead. New one needed. (obviously really)
5.aftermarket immob key lost, had to by pass to start the car. This needs to be addressed properly and will prob ask questions seperately in the near future.
6.Electrics - head lights worked, no other lights did?? Fuses? hopefully! will check them tomorrow...
7. Misc - Exhaust blow, driver mirror missing, fog lamp glass missing.
So I have my work cut out for me! But I wanted something that needed work so I can self teach about a few things...
Oh the hood seems good...
Thanks for reading and if you have any advice or opinions, feel free to type away! Could do with some opinions on what you would do, and hopefully some good ideas come forward I can use...
And before you say it, I'm not going to scrap it yet!!
