Top find, very period! love it, be cool if you can keep some character during the rebuild. Also see PPC mag they have got on the restore a mk1 bandwagon, on a budget like so should be an interesting read for you.

Yeah, they started a space frame one a bit back and I think the latest is a restoration, maybe i've missed the latest mag.... The spaceframe attempt was being performed by a private company, not by the magazine, the magazine just hosted the story. This went tits up in the end though and still hasn't been completed. PPC are now rebuilding a crusty mk1 themselves, so it should be on going as long as the budget is there.
